Overview
Kingsway Tyres is one of Kenya's leading automotive service providers, operating 23+ branches nationwide with over 200 staff. As the business migrated to a new ERP, leadership saw an opportunity to go further — replacing legacy workflows with a modern, purpose-built platform. Innovative Tech Labs designed and built PitStop: a unified operations platform covering branch sales, technician job management, and field sales, delivered across four phases and on time.
Client Context
Kingsway Tyres is one of Kenya's leading automotive service providers, with 23+ branches nationwide and over 200 staff. As the business underwent an ERP migration, leadership identified an opportunity to modernise front-line operations across the entire branch network — moving beyond back-office changes to transform how staff at every level worked day to day.
The Problem
ERP migrations typically focus on back-office operations. Kingsway's front-line processes were slow and manual: generating a customer quote took up to 45 minutes, vehicle inspections were paper-based, and the field sales team had no structured system for managing B2B clients or tracking their pipeline. The platform needed to work across 23+ branches, handle multiple payment methods, and integrate cleanly into the new ERP — all within a tight timeline.
Our Solution
Innovative Tech Labs designed PitStop as a unified platform delivered in four phases. Phase 1 — a full branch POS system for walk-in B2C customers. Phase 2 — a mobile technician app for digital vehicle inspections and live job tracking. Phase 3 — a B2B field sales CRM for managing accounts and generating on-demand quotations on the road. Phase 4 — AI-driven analysis, automated notifications, and reporting dashboards layered across the platform.
Implementation
All four phases — plus full ERP integration — were delivered within the requested timeline. The phased approach allowed each part of the business to onboard progressively, with the branch POS live in March 2026 and subsequent phases following in sequence. Payments are handled natively within the platform, supporting M-Pesa and card payments via bank integration. Built on Expo / React Native (frontend) and Python (backend), with integrations into the ERP system, M-Pesa, and a bank payment gateway.
Impact
Quote generation was reduced from 45 minutes to under 2 minutes. Vehicle inspections are fully digitised, eliminating paper-based processes. The field sales team has a structured CRM for managing B2B accounts and pipelines for the first time. Management has real-time visibility across branches, technicians, and sales activity. AI analysis and reporting provide a foundation for data-driven decision-making at scale. Full ERP integration ensures data flows consistently across front-line and back-office systems.
